Forget New Years resolutions, I think that there should instead be “Independence Day resolutions”! Where one can symbolically declare Independence from anything they wish to part with. Such as bad relationships, behavior, lifestyle, thought patterns, etc. Take control of your own life and declare your own personal independence! Recapture your own autonomy!
